In Pakistan, everyone who earns money is required to pay taxes. The Federal Board of Revenue ensures that people in Pakistan, including salaried and business people, pay their taxes on time at all costs before the end of the financial year by issuing warnings and imposing fines.

You would be known as a registered tax filer in Pakistan if you have an NTN. Though most people desire to keep their wealth hidden, filing taxes has significant legal advantages. So, if you haven't already done so, you'll need to register as a legitimate taxpayer with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and you'll require a National Tax Number to do so (NTN).

The procedure of obtaining an NTN has been made exceedingly simple and almost computerized in recent years. You no longer need to go to a Federal Board of Revenue office to obtain your National Tax Number; instead, you can do so quickly and easily online. To do so, follow these simple instructions:

  • Go to the FBR IRIS portal and click on Registration.
  • Fill out the form completely and click the submit button
  • Edit the 181 application form after logging in to your account
  • Enter all of your personal, income, and property information
  • You'll get NTN in a matter of hours

Before you begin, make sure you have all of the necessary paperwork on hand in order to complete the online process. You can either do it yourself or hire a professional to handle it for you by following an offline approach and physically visiting the FBR offices.
